This is a music and movement based class that will be attended by both an adult and a student. There will be a focus on learning how to listen to an instructor, how to interact with other students, and the very basics of how to move our bodies to music.

We will sing songs, play movement games, and engage in creative play!

Attire:
Grown-ups and students: Flexible clothes you can move in and socks or sneakers.

This class is for our youngest dancers. The fundamentals of dance will be introduced, including basic positions, simple movements, and balance.
Along with dance skills, we will also focus on how to behave in a dance classroom. This includes following directions, standing on our spots, and being safe and kind with our bodies.
This class is set up to introduce dance in an exciting way! We will play movement games with a focus on creativity and imagination to teach students both dance steps AND that dancing is fun!
Attire:
Girls- Leotard, tights, and ballet shoes
Boys- T-shirt, leggings/tights, and ballet shoes
Hair: Pulled up and/or secured away from face
This class begins the first step in our ballet and tap tracks. In both styles we will work on the foundations of dance, such as balance, focus, and control. Additionally, we will begin working on strength and flexibility through imaginative games.
Ballet: We will learn the basic ballet arm and feet positions and simple steps. We will work towards step and position name recognition as well as fundamentals like turnout, straight legs, and pointed toes.
Tap: We will learn basic tap steps and combos. We will work towards step name recognition, and we will focus on building control, making clean sounds, and developing musicality.

Hair: Pulled up and/or secured away from face
Ballet is a classical form of dance known for its grace, precision, and expressive movement. Originating in the royal courts of Europe, it combines technique with storytelling through choreographed steps, elegant poses, and fluid transitions. Ballet dancers train extensively to develop strength, flexibility, and control

This class is for teens and adults of any level and experience of ballet. Come as you are! There will be a focus on both technique and strength and flexibility.

Women- Leotard, tights, ballet shoes OR a form fitting shirt, leggings, and ballet shoes
Men- T-shirt, leggings/tights, ballet shoes OR a form fitting shirt, sweatpants/joggers/shorts, and ballet shoes

Jazz dance is a vibrant and energetic style that blends technique with rhythm, expression, and improvisation. Influenced by jazz music, it features sharp movements, fluid transitions, and syncopated footwork. Jazz dancers use dynamic isolations, leaps, and turns to bring personality and flair to both classic and contemporary choreography.

Boys- Form fitting shirt with leggings or shorts and jazz shoes

Musical theater jazz is a lively and expressive dance style that combines the technique of jazz with the storytelling and character work of theater. Often seen on Broadway and stage productions, it emphasizes facial expression, acting, and clear narrative through movement. Dancers use stylized gestures, sharp rhythms, and theatrical flair to bring songs and characters to life, making each performance engaging and emotionally resonant.

Boys- Form fitting shirt with leggings or shorts and jazz shoes

This class is for teens and adults of any level and experience of musical theater and/or jazz. Come as you are! We will work on technique, strength, and flexibility, as well as learning fun weekly routines to Broadway songs!

Tap is a rhythmic and percussive dance style where dancers use their feet like instruments to create intricate sounds and patterns. With metal plates on the soles of their shoes, tap dancers combine steps, beats, and timing to produce music through movement. Tap is both expressive and musical, with performances full of energy, syncopation, and style.

This is a fun focused musical theater class for 2nd-5th graders!
​
We will introduce all aspects of musical theater. This will include working on acting scenes and monologues, as well as fun improv games, singing solo and in groups with simple harmonies, and mastering basic musical theater dance steps as well as an intro into more advanced Broadway Jazz.
After winter break, we will hold auditions and finish out the year working on a full musical production! All enrolled in the class will have a role in the show.

This is a skill building musical theater class for 6th-12th graders!
We will dive deeper into the three aspects of musical theater. We will introduce script analysis, play with physical acting techniques, develop diction skills, and much more! We’ll work on acting through song, singing complex harmonies, and even bring in master vocal instructors to lead master classes and unlock our voices. Along with Broadway Jazz technique, we’ll also work on dance conditioning to increase our stamina to sing and dance at the same time (a huge part of musical theater!)
After winter break, we will hold auditions and finish out the year working on a full musical production. All enrolled in the class will have a role in the show.
